Dylan Field and Evan Wallace are the co-founders of Figma, one of the most influential tools in the world of design and digital productivity over the past decade. Together, they have led a true revolution in how teams design, prototype, and collaborate visually—pushing the boundaries of traditional software.

The vision began in 2012, when both, alumni of Brown University, identified a critical need: to create an accessible, cloud-based, real-time collaborative design platform. While Wallace contributed deep technical expertise as a computer graphics engineer, Field brought a strategic mindset and an obsession with democratizing design.

Before Figma, design software was expensive, bulky, and required local installations. With its browser-based approach, Figma enabled designers, developers, product managers, and clients to work simultaneously on the same file for the first time—breaking down silos and accelerating creative workflows.
